We are growing, taking on new projects, and expanding our team. We are looking for a colleague to join our procurement team who will handle various direct & indirect orders, focusing on purchase of COTS, including computers, IT hardware & services, software, licenses, and services across the entire company. The role combines both strategic and operational procurement, with close cooperation with production, finance, and other teams to ensure the needs of the whole company are met.
Bagira is a Czech-Israeli company with approximately 150 employees in Brno, focused on the development of training simulators (both software and hardware) incorporating virtual reality principles. Our projects include, for example, the MAGNET system, which uses a laser system to replace blank ammunition, simulators of professional military devices, and more. Hardware development is carried out entirely in Brno, where we have a team of design engineers (mechanical and electrical), a production line, and support services. Software development takes place both in the Czech Republic and Israel.
Bagira is a global leader in training and simulation systems, with many years of experience in providing top-tier and effective “mission readiness” solutions tailored precisely to customer requirements. Bagira simulators are used for training by hundreds of thousands of soldiers at more than 40 locations worldwide.
Co budeš dělat
- Ensuring the procurement of COTS, IT equipment (hardware), software, and licenses according to company needs, with best commercial & contractual aspects.
- Leading indirect purchase for company’s needs
- Managing and maintaining records of IT assets (hardware and software), throughout their lifecycle
- Strategic procurement – planning, supplier optimization, and long-term contracts
- Supplier selection and negotiation of pricing and contractual terms
- Optimization of IT procurement costs and licensing policies
- Cooperation with IT, production, finance, and other internal teams
- Monitoring deliveries, license compliance, and supporting audits
- Tracking the market and new trends in COTS, computers & IT procurement
Koho hledáme
- Experience in a similar procurement position (both operational and strategic) – MUST.
- Academic (University) education - MUST, Business/Law BA academic degree – an advantage.
- Knowledge of hardware components, software, and licensing models is an advantage
- English at a high communicative level (communication with international suppliers)
- Thorough Financial & commercial understanding – MUST.
- Strong negotiation and organizational skills
- Ability to make independent decisions and analytical thinking
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage, excellent in MS Office, including XCL – MUST.
