In Thermo Fisher Scientific Brno, we develop and produce high-tech electron microscopes and spectrometers. Our devices are involved in research of SARS-CoV-2 virus or enable mobile phones to get smaller. Our work contributes to making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. We are the most prominent production site of electron microscopes worldwide, following a tradition of over 70 years long. There are many experts in physics, electronics, software, mechanical engineering, and logistics among us. At the Sample Prep and Analysis (SPA) group, we develop and maintain software solutions that automate the operation of Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEMs). Our technology enables customers in the semiconductor industry to identify manufacturing defects, accelerate research, and improve the reliability, performance, and energy efficiency of next-generation semiconductor devices.

- Define and drive the overall Software Quality Assurance strategy across products and development teams.
- Serve as the technical leader for QA activities, mentoring QA engineers and promoting quality-first engineering practices.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Software Architects, Developers, Data Scientists, and AI Engineers throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Establish, improve, and govern testing processes, quality standards, and release readiness criteria.
- Design and implement scalable automated testing solutions across UI, API, integration, and system levels.
- Drive adoption of AI-powered testing approaches, including AI-assisted test generation, intelligent test maintenance, risk-based testing, and quality analytics.
- Participate in validation and verification of AI-enabled features, computer vision pipelines, and machine learning components.
- Develop quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to provide actionable insights into product quality and development efficiency.
- Lead root-cause analysis of quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify quality risks early in the development cycle and define mitigation strategies.
- Partner with external vendors and development partners to ensure consistent quality standards across integrated solutions.
- Review software architecture and technical designs from a quality, testability, reliability, and maintainability perspective.
- Champion shift-left testing practices and quality engineering culture throughout the organization.
Koho hledáme
- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, quality engineering, or software testing.
- 3+ years of experience leading QA initiatives, technical projects, or mentoring engineers.
- Strong experience working in Agile software development environments.
- Experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks and CI/CD quality pipelines.
- Experience testing complex software systems involving APIs, cloud-native applications, image processing, or AI/ML components.
- Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
