Red Hat's Automotive Engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer to join us on Red Hat's In-Vehicle Operating System ( RHIVOS ). In this role you will independently design, develop, and be accountable for the quality of software features of moderate complexity, keeping the end-users' needs in mind. This position exists to be an autonomous contributor who takes ownership of delivering direct, reliable value to our customers. The primary function is to translate user requirements into robust, high-quality, and maintainable code that creates a seamless customer experience and meets our high bar for software quality.

- Work closely with peers to perform and improve manual and automated test cases
- Integrate automated testing into a CI/CD pipeline
- Create and maintain test plans and test cases, then review test cases with the team
- Work on bug reporting and verification
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and tools.
- Ability to quickly adapt to a rapidly changing work environment, handle multiple tasks, and maintain high attention to detail
- Exercise judgment to independently apply AI tools and agentic workflows to streamline team processes, such as automating code generation and routine testing.
- Perform other duties as assigned
