Job summary
ABB is looking for an experienced Project Manager with fluent English and French to join its Operational Center in Ostrava. You will manage international automation projects for pulp and paper mills across Europe, acting as the key link between ABB’s execution teams and customers. The role includes managing budgets, schedules, quality, documentation, customer relationships, lessons learned, and bid support. A degree in electrical engineering or automation and experience with project management and end customers are required; automation or paper-industry experience is an advantage. Who we’re looking for
- Technical education (BSc/MSc) – electrical engineering, automation
- Experience in project management and working with end customers.
- Understanding of automation and IT — experience in process automation or the paper industry is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and deliver results.
- Fluent English and French.
What you’ll do
- International collaboration within an ABB team delivering automation solutions for pulp and paper mills across Europe.
- Key communication role between our execution team and the end customer.
- Project management within defined budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Building long‑term customer relationships and supporting strong team cooperation.
- Creating and maintaining project documentation according to internal standards.
- Evaluating projects, sharing lessons learned, and proposing improvements.
- Supporting the sales phase by providing inputs for successful bids and project execution.
