Redefine how electric operations are planned Are you ready to reshape how public transport operations are planned in a zero-emission world? Electrification introduces new constraints and opportunities — from charging integration to range optimisation. At Arriva, we are building a new, standardised way of planning BEV operations across all countries. We are looking for a specialist who will define, standardise and continuously improve BEV planning methodologies, ensuring operational robustness and efficiency at scale.

- You will lead the BEV Operations Planning Excellence domain, focusing on methodology design, optimisation and standardisation.
- Define the planning framework
- Develop the group standard for BEV scheduling and planning
- Define how range, charging and flexibility constraints are integrated
- Establish principles balancing efficiency and operational robustness
- Drive structural improvements
- Identify systemic inefficiencies in planning (fleet sizing, utilisation, risk exposure)
- Develop improved planning approaches and optimisation methods
- Translate these into scalable standards and frameworks
- Ensure practical applicability
- Validate planning methodologies against real operational performance
- Ensure solutions are robust and implementable in practice
- Embed excellence across the organisation
- Enable adoption of new planning standards across countries
- Create a consistent, high-quality planning approach internationally

- Strong experience in transport planning, scheduling or optimisation
- Experience with complex operational systems and constraints
- Experience in BEV operations
- Strong analytical and structured thinking skills
- Fluent in English
- You focus on building planning methods that work consistently across all operations.
