Who we’re looking for
- You own a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or other technical/scientific disciplines is required. Candidates with a strong technical foundation combined with business acumen will be highly valued
- You have at least 5+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing, business development role, with a demonstrated focus on unlocking new revenue streams. Experience in Metal Fabrication, manufacturing, industrial gases, welding, or chemicals is strongly preferred
- Hands-On Technical and Sales Skills: A deep understanding of industrial processes and operations, enabling you to identify customer needs and propose innovative technical solutions. You’re confident engaging with technical customer functions (e.g., production managers, engineers, procurement teams) and can connect Linde’s solutions to operational challenges like efficiency, emissions reduction, and cost control
- Entrepreneur and Multiplier Mindset: A track record of empowering internal teams, particularly sales or support staff, to act more effectively as growth drivers. You thrive when sharing your knowledge, coaching teams, and building their technical and commercial skills
- Strategic, Hands-On Leadership: A unique combination of strategic thinking and practical execution. You can develop high-level growth strategies while stepping in when needed to lead hands-on customer interactions and project execution
- Collaborative Focus: The ability to work closely with local sales teams, technical experts, and customers to align growth initiatives with both market conditions and customer needs. You understand how to build strong partnerships within and outside the company
- Flexibility and Willingness to Travel: You are comfortable spending 50%+ of your time on-site, engaging directly with customers, supporting local teams, and aligning business strategies regionally
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of additional languages (e.g., Spanish, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, or German) is advantageous
What you’ll do
- In this poistion you will focus on volume growth: drive incremental revenue by generating new revenue streams, acquiring new customers, and increasing gas usage intensity across existing accounts. Retaining or managing existing revenue streams is not the priority in this role—your focus will be on identifying and pursuing high-impact opportunities
- You will act as a critical multiplier by sharing your extensive technical knowledge and business insights with local sales teams and business leaders. Focus on enhancing their ability to identify opportunities and deliver impactful solutions while equipping them with the tools they need to succeed in driving growth. Nevertheless, you’ll also directly engage with complex customer challenges and opportunities to lead by example. This “hands-on” approach will be critical in creating alignment, driving swift action, and ensuring success for high-priority customer opportunities
- Engage with Technical Customers and Processes: Collaborate closely with technically-oriented customers to understand their unique challenges. Use your expertise to craft solutions utilizing Linde’s advanced offerings, including welding gases, laser technologies, thermal solutions, and Additive Manufacturing (AM). Tailor proposals to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and overall performance
- Leverage Best-in-Class Technical Resources: Collaborate with Linde’s global technology teams, including world-class experts in industrial gas applications and manufacturing solutions. These resources will be at your disposal to support technical innovation and sales growth outcomes
- Develop and Implement Growth Strategies: Strategically identify, target, and pursue new customer segments and application opportunities, aligning with Linde’s regional and global growth priorities. Act as a driver of industry-leading solutions that accelerate revenue growth and create competitive differentiation
- Collaborate Across Functions to Execute Solutions: Work closely with sales teams and local business leaders to tailor your strategies to regional markets. By fostering alignment across functions, you will ensure the success of growth initiatives and ensure that customers receive the expertise and solutions they need
- Lead Creative Commercial Strategies: Design customized commercial agreements, including phased trials and interim partnerships, to help customers adopt Linde’s technical solutions and open the door to long-term sustainable growth
