Who we’re looking for
- Extensive software engineering experience, including proven expertise in architecting large-scale distributed systems and microservices architecture with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Demonstrated experience leading the transition from a monolithic architecture to cloud-native microservices.
- Proficiency in Java and/or Go, with additional experience in Python considered a plus.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP) and container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Strong technical communication skills with the ability to articulate architectural concepts and influence engineering direction across teams, departments, and stakeholders.
What you’ll do
- Dive deep into our current monolithic architecture, identify pain points, and design innovative solutions to address them in an iterative way.
- Lead the design and development of a new microservices architecture that supports scalability, maintainability, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with teams to evaluate and implement the right tools, frameworks, and methodologies for building a robust microservices ecosystem.
- Write high-quality, production-ready code in a hands-on capacity.
- Guide and mentor other engineers, contribute to their professional growth, share best practices and architectural insights, and foster a culture of engineering excellence.
- Partner with other engineering, product, design, quality, DevOps/Infra teams and leadership to align on objectives, design, timelines, and execution strategies.
