Who we’re looking for
- At least 10 years of software engineering work experience.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, distributed systems, and other computer science fundamentals.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming in one or more of Java, C#, Golang, C++, or similar OO languages.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills of the used solution stack.
- Solid understanding of developing customer-facing microservice-based architectures, tiered architectures, including virtualization, containerization, and REST API interfaces.
- Hands-on experience in building highly available, high-traffic, distributed services, possessing knowledge of common service-oriented design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols. Familiarity with concepts such as availability, observability, scalability, testability, recoverability, etc.
What you’ll do
- Own the engineering architecture and delivery of an assigned part of the software solution.
- Work collaboratively with other developers, architects, managers, and different Oracle teams to deliver anticipated features and drive the launching of new cloud services.
- Proactively identify and resolve risks and issues that may dent the team’s ability to execute.
- Drive engineering efforts and provide direction to other members of the team. Provide coaching and mentoring support to the organization.
- Develop long-term technical roadmaps. Defining OKRs and KPIs to inform decision-making and prioritization. Establish software development standards and processes.
- Setting up development pipelines and deploying applications into development, test, and production environments. You will develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and work with Kubernetes for container orchestration and scaling of distributed applications.
