Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in engineering in Refining or Petrochemicals industry
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including ability to communicate fluently in English
- Strong ability in technical matters with profound knowledge of applicable engineering principles and processes
- Willingness to travel for business purposes, domestically or internationally
- Familiar and conversant in MDS preparation, RFQ preparation, Technical Bid Evaluation, Equipment selection and Vendor Print Review
- Acquainted with codes and standards of API, ANSI, Major Clients / PMC & Licensor Specifications and Standards
- Study of ITB document in detail and identification / application of project specific salient points
- Hands on experience in FEED, EPC & Proposal Jobs
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
What you’ll do
- Application of all relevant procedures, practices, and international standards according to discipline and applicable as per the projects requirements
- Performance of mechanical calculations related to the static equipment’s (pressure vessels preliminary calculations, etc.)
- Resolving technical issues related to discipline and coordination with third parties for its resolution
- Providing technical input to subcontracts related to Mechanical engineering (Equipment erection, Equipment insulation installation, etc.)
- Support inspection and testing activities at vendor shops
- Discipline engineering design basis, philosophies, and technical specifications
- Mechanical handling philosophy report and associated requisitioning for handling equipment
- Mechanical equipment list, spare parts list, special tools list
- Coordinating with other engineering disciplines the interdisciplinary review of supplier documentation
- Participating in the development and implementation of engineering practices, workflows and procedures; recommends and implements resulting specs and procedures
