Who we’re looking for
- Proven experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines and analytics infrastructure
- Strong hands-on capability with Databricks, SQL and Python
- A track record of working with senior non-technical stakeholders and explaining technical trade-offs in a clear, credible way
- Experience operating in scale-ups or other high-growth environments where ambiguity, pace and prioritisation are part of the job
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to connect technical work to business outcomes
- Confidence working across both strategic projects and operationally important day-to-day work
What you’ll do
- Own and improve the data pipelines and infrastructure that support Pigment forecasting, budgeting and planning
- Build and shape the people data domain, including data models, platform foundations and governance patterns across secure Databricks environments
- Translate complex, often ambiguous business needs into practical technical roadmaps
- Partner closely with senior finance stakeholders, including directors and VPs, to turn requests into scalable solutions rather than one-off fixes
- Balance short-term operational needs with longer-term platform quality, maintainability and control
- Help the team reduce reliance on ad hoc firefighting and create stronger foundations for SOX compliance and IPO readiness
- Bring structure, clarity and good engineering judgement to a fast-moving, under-resourced environment
