What you’ll do
- Maintain and grow relationships with key clients through regular outreach, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and engagement.
- Conduct monthly check-ins via phone or email with assigned clients.
- Maintain clear communication records in HubSpot after every interaction.
- Respond promptly to client queries and feedback.
- Build rapport with top-tier accounts and maintain regular engagement with mid-tier clients.
- Monitor accounts to confirm services are active and paid. Follow up on outstanding invoices and manage any payment-related concerns.
- Monitor payment status of active client accounts.
- Liaise with the Finance or Billing team on overdue accounts and payment issues.
- Follow up directly with clients to resolve billing questions and encourage timely payments.
- Document all payment follow-ups and outcomes in HubSpot.
- Identify upselling opportunities within the existing client base. Recommend and facilitate upgrades to higher-tier products or services where applicable.
- Analyze account usage and listing performance to identify upgrade opportunities.
- Present product or service upgrades to clients during calls or meetings.
- Collaborate with Sales Team members to close upsell opportunities.
- Coordinate onboarding processes for new clients, including product walkthroughs and training sessions.
- Schedule onboarding sessions for all new clients within the first week of activation.
- Facilitate product demonstrations and training via Zoom or video calls.
- Share helpful onboarding materials and follow-up resources.
- Track onboarding progress and ensure clients complete all initial setup steps.
- Proactively safeguard the existing client base by identifying at-risk accounts early and taking action to renew, re-engage, and retain clients before they churn.
- Monitor renewal dates and engagement signals to identify accounts at risk of churn.
- Reach out to at-risk clients with tailored retention offers or solutions.
- Conduct renewal conversations ahead of contract or subscription end dates.
- Track retention outcomes and reasons for churn in HubSpot to inform future strategy.
- Review and process cancellation requests in line with company policies. Oversee the bad debtors process in your market and engage with clients to resolve issues where possible.
- Monitor and respond to all incoming cancellation requests for your assigned market.
- Conduct client exit interviews or cancellation follow-up calls where applicable.
- Attempt to retain clients through troubleshooting or downgrade alternatives.
- Work with the Debtors process team to flag problematic accounts and escalate where needed.
- Regularly review client accounts in HubSpot, complete associated tasks, and flag opportunities for sales or account retention actions.
- Review account activity, product usage, and engagement signals weekly.
- Complete all automated and manually assigned tasks in HubSpot related to account health.
- Identify and flag accounts showing churn risk or upsell potential.
- Maintain updated records, lifecycle stages, and contact properties in HubSpot.
About the position
The Account Manager plays a pivotal role in the Properstar Sales Department, acting as a strategic liaison between the company and its active client base. This role ensures that client accounts are well-managed, payments are up to date, product value is clearly communicated, and opportunities for account expansion are pursued. You will support the sales team by nurturing long-term client relationships, assisting with onboarding and product demonstrations, and managing cancellations and debtor issues in your assigned market.
