Who we’re looking for
- Strong experience with ABB robot programming and commissioning
- Experience with other robot brands such as Stäubli , KUKA, Fanuc, Yaskawa, Universal Robots or Omron is considered a strong advantage
- Understanding of robotic system integration and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of PLC programming, preferably Siemens TIA Portal / S7
- Ability to read, understand, and modify PLC code during commissioning activities
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as PROFINET, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, and TCP/IP
- Basic knowledge of: REST APIs, JSON data structures, HTTP requests and communication principles, System-to-system integrations
- Ability to analyze communication between industrial equipment and software platforms
- Basic knowledge of SQL, C#, or similar technologies is considered an advantage
- Commissioning and troubleshooting of automation systems
- Root-cause analysis and problem solving
- Understanding of automation architecture and system integration
- Technical documentation and validation
- Ability to work independently in an international project environment
What you’ll do
- Program, and commission industrial robotic systems, primarily using ABB.
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot robotic applications for logistics and intralogistics processes
- Integrate robots with conveyors, ASRS systems, warehouse automation equipment, vision systems, and third-party software platforms
- Perform on-site and remote commissioning of robotic and automation systems
- Support software commissioning activities, including system integration, testing, validation, and troubleshooting
- Configure and validate communication between automation equipment and higher-level software systems
- Work with APIs and software interfaces to enable data exchange between robotic systems, WMS/WCS platforms, WES systems, and other applications
- Understand and utilize JSON-based data structures and HTTP-based communication mechanisms
- Support development and testing of automation workflows involving REST APIs and industrial communication protocols
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, controls, and software engineering teams
- Prepare technical documentation, commissioning reports, and user documentation
