Who we’re looking for
- Completed master’s degree in computer engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Communications Engineering, Applied Mathematics or Physics Science or related fields;
- Background in one of the areas such as navigation, GPS/GNSS, signal processing, estimation algorithms
- Background in mathematical modeling of dynamical systems and state estimation
- Knowledge of MATLAB
- Analytical and systems thinking skills applied to navigation and positioning problems
- Be a team player and passion for Aerospace , who wants to develop a career in this field
- Good command of English language, comfortable to use it in daily interactions
What you’ll do
- As a member of the Advanced Technology Navigation & Sensors team, you will be engaged in the development of new GNSS and Inertial based navigation systems enabling future safe and autonomous aircraft operations
- Design and conduct in-depth scientific experiments, simulations, and analyses for navigation applications including laboratory and open field experimental work
- Develop advanced signal models tailored to specific applications and scenarios.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners for knowledge sharing and innovation
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in GNSS/Inertial and Navigation technology and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
About the position
As an R&D Engineer/Scientist I at Honeywell Aerospace, you will help shape the future of flight. You will develop next-generation navigation technologies for today's commercial aircraft and tomorrow's air taxis and advanced air mobility solutions. You will report directly to our Research and Development Manager and work from our Brno, Czech Republic location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will drive innovation, develop new technologies, and collaborate with global teams to solve complex aviation challenges.
