Product Manager – VMwareVerified as a real position

Who we’re looking for

• Proven experience in Product Management , Technical Product Management, or Product Marketing within enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, or cloud technologies
• Strong understanding of VMware technologies including vSphere , vSAN , NSX , and SDDC Manager
• Knowledge of Kubernetes , VMware Kubernetes Service (VKS) (formerly TKG), and modern application platforms
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments including VMware Cloud on AWS , Azure VMware Solution , and Google Cloud VMware Engine
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps workflows
• Knowledge of software-defined networking, NSX networking, and AVI Load Balancer technologies
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions and customer outcomes
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers, partners, and executive stakeholders
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

What you’ll do

• Product Strategy & Vision: Define and own the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for VMware platform services and cloud solutions
• Customer Engagement: Engage with enterprise customers to understand business requirements, technical challenges, and future platform needs
• Roadmap Development: Prioritize features and capabilities across virtualization, Kubernetes, automation, networking, and hybrid cloud offerings
• Go-To-Market (GTM): Develop product positioning, value propositions, pricing strategies, and GTM plans to drive adoption and growth
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering, architecture, sales, and professional services teams to deliver successful outcomes
• Market Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis and track industry trends across private cloud, Kubernetes, virtualization, and hybrid cloud technologies
• Platform Innovation: Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps practices, and self-service cloud capabilities
• Technical Enablement: Develop technical messaging, solution documentation, customer presentations, and sales enablement materials
• Partner Ecosystem: Work closely with VMware by Broadcom and cloud providers to align product strategy and roadmap initiatives
• Metrics & Success: Define and track KPIs, customer adoption metrics, and product performance indicators
