Who we’re looking for
- Master's degree in Law from a reputable university.
- Minimum 5 years of professional legal experience, either in-house within an international organization or in an international law firm.
- Experience in the automotive industry is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience supporting legal matters in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Switzerland, and Austria.
- Strong background in commercial contracts, corporate law, and legal compliance.
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and legal advisory skills.
- Experience managing complex commercial and cross-border transactions.
- Ability to develop and implement legal strategies and practical business solutions.
- Strong understanding of legal risk management and corporate governance principles.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Additional European languages such as German or French are highly advantageous.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Commercially minded with strong business acumen.

What you’ll do
- Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements, including: Distributor and dealer agreements After-sales service agreements Automotive finance agreements Fleet sales agreements Procurement and supply contracts Operational and business cooperation agreements
- Provide practical legal advice to business teams to ensure legal risks are identified, assessed, and appropriately managed.
- Support commercial negotiations and contribute to the successful execution of business initiatives.
- Identify legal and regulatory risks related to business activities and propose appropriate mitigation measures.
- Support implementation and maintenance of legal compliance frameworks across the assigned markets.
- Monitor relevant legislative developments and assess their impact on business operations.
- Deliver legal training and awareness sessions to business stakeholders.
- Manage legal disputes and pre-litigation matters.
- Coordinate litigation and arbitration proceedings in cooperation with external legal advisors.
- Oversee relationships with external law firms and ensure efficient management of legal matters.
- Provide clear, pragmatic, and business-oriented legal advice to management and internal stakeholders.
- Support corporate governance, corporate law matters, and strategic business projects.
- Collaborate closely with regional and global legal teams to ensure alignment with BYD Group policies and standards.
- Partner with Sales, Aftersales, Finance, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to support business objectives.
- Facilitate communication between local business teams and international legal stakeholders.
- Support additional legal projects and initiatives as required.
