Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Physics, or a related quantitative field
- 1+ year of experience in energy trading and a strong academic background in energy markets.
- Strong interest in European power markets and a desire to develop a career in commodity trading.
- Familiarity with power and gas markets and a basic understanding of market volatility.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent time management, communication, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Programming skills in Python , MATLAB , or similar languages are a plus.
- An MSc degree is a plus.
What you’ll do
- Develop and execute strategies for major European power & gas markets from DA to Y+1, taking into account cross-commodity relations and market volatility.
- Develop fundamental models and understanding for corresponding markets; provide market insights and forecasts to support decision-making.
- Maintain strong relationships with market participants and stakeholders, and stay abreast of regulatory changes and market developments affecting different energy commodities.
- Provide support and help to Quant Team to enhance research tools for the respective markets.
- Help automation processes and make a contribution to algorithmic trading.
- Collaborate with the risk management team to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and to manage portfolio risks.
