Who we’re looking for
- Fluency in English C1 Level
- Experience within freight audit, logistics invoicing, finance operations or invoice validation.
- Strong Excel skills and experience using Power BI or other reporting/data analysis tools would be advantageous.
- Adaptability to stay effective and organised in a fast‑moving, high‑volume environment, adjusting quickly to shifting priorities.
- Analytical Accuracy by validating data, double‑checking assumptions, and consistently producing error‑free outputs.
- Business & Service strong commercial awareness and a high‑service attitude, making decisions that balance efficiency, cost, and stakeholder needs.
- Detail Orientation & Results Delivery to spot inconsistencies early, maintains strong attention to detail, and drives tasks to completion with a focus on measurable outcomes.
- Team Collaboration to work constructively with colleagues, communicates openly, and contributes to a positive team dynamic.
- Analytical Curiosity & Insight Generation to use curiosity and critical thinking to dig into data, derive valid conclusions, and translate findings into clear, actionable insights.
What you’ll do
- Validate freight invoices — Compare carrier invoices against contracts, rates, and POs to ensure all charges match agreed terms.
- Resolve discrepancies with carriers — Work directly with carriers/forwarders to dispute overcharges and close gaps quickly.
- Ensure accurate cost booking — Book costs to the correct cost centers and execute recharges (incl. D&D) according to the recharge model.
- Drive process reliability — Identify gaps, strengthen controls, and push automation and touchless processing across the audit workflow.
- Analyze performance & reporting — Build routine and ad‑hoc reports, track shipping line performance, and provide visibility on process KPIs.
- Investigate issues using SAP/TMS — Investigate freight audit cases within agreed SLAs, derive conclusions from data, and maintain up-to-date procedures and documentation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives — Contribute to automation, process optimisation, and structural improvement projects to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce manual effort across the freight audit process.
