Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ACA, CA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, audit, or financial planning & analysis.
- Experience supporting business leaders through budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and business partnering.
- Strong understanding of Czech accounting, tax, payroll, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Experience coordinating with external accountants, payroll providers, tax advisors, and auditors.
- Experience in a multinational or matrix organization is preferred.
- Experience in the technology, gaming, software, or professional services industry is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate, or similar analytics and automation tools is an advantage.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
- Fluent in English and Czech, both written and spoken.
What you’ll do
- Accounting & Compliance
- Primary finance liaison with external accountants, payroll providers, tax advisors, auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting, tax and regulatory requirements, as well as Group policies and internal controls, including the accurate and timely submission of statutory filings and regulatory reports.
- Monitor local regulatory developments and drive the implementation of changes impacting finance, compliance and reporting processes.
- Responsible for month-end and year-end closing activities, statutory reporting, and audit requirements in collaboration with external accountants.
- Finance Business Partnering
- Partner with Studio Leaders on financial performance management, budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
- Prepare and analyse monthly management reports, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Provide financial insights, and actionable recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Support cost management initiatives and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Process Improvement
- Drive process improvements and strengthen financial controls within the studio.
- Participate in Group-wide finance transformation initiatives, including workflow optimization, automation, and the adoption of AI-enabled tools and processes.
About the position
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Finance Assistant Manager / Manager to partner with Studio Leaders in managing the studio’s financial operations in Prague, Czech Republic. In this role, you will serve as the primary finance business partner to the studio, supporting financial planning, analysis, reporting, and operational decision-making. You will provide meaningful financial insights and recommendations to help drive business performance and support the achievement of the studio's strategic objectives. You will also act as the key finance liaison between the studio and external service providers, including accountants, payroll providers, tax advisors, auditors, and local authorities. The role requires a solid understanding of Czech financial, payroll, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance, support ongoing legislative changes, and facilitate effective communication with both local and Group Finance stakeholders.
