Join us as a Data Engineer - Market Data Platform at Barclays, where you'll enable and accelerate the Markets data strategy by engineering scalable onboarding, cataloguing, and governed distribution pipelines for market data, ensuring high-quality, discoverable, and compliant datasets are delivered efficiently across the enterprise.
Co budeš dělat
- Build and maintenance of data architectures pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete and consistent data.
- Design and implementation of data warehoused and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures.
- Development of processing and analysis algorithms fit for the intended data complexity and volumes.
- Collaboration with data scientist to build and deploy machine learning models.
Koho hledáme
- Extensive proficiency in AWS cloud services including S3, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation, and CloudFormation, with demonstrable experience designing and operating cloud-native data platforms
- Considerable Python programming skills at a senior level, applied to data engineering, pipeline development, and automation
- Solid experience with ETL/ELT frameworks, data transformation patterns, and data quality tooling (e.g., Great Expectations, dbt, or similar)
- Working knowledge of Snowflake for data warehousing, query optimisation, and integration within broader data ecosystems
- Experience with Apache Iceberg or similar open tab
- willingness to collaborate with diverse internal teams across technology, data, and business functions to drive adoption and alignment
